This spring has been incredibly fertile and abundant for Fresh Roots fields and organization!
We’re excited to announce that our co-founder Ilana helped us win 1st prize in a Vancity Good Money Impact Venture Challenge!
Ilana says “Hundreds of children in schools across Vancouver eat our schoolyard grown veggies with huge smiles on their faces because they learn and play in the spaces where their food grows and know their farmers,” said Ilana Labow. “Vancity has just made it possible for literally thousands of children to share that same experience. As the pictures share, our fields are growing abundantly, more students play in the gardens everyday, we had a beautiful 2nd Meet Your Farmer, with families riding away with edible flowers to munch on.
We have a few CSA shares left! Now is the time to join and receive a weekly, fresh vegetable box for 5 months! Starting June 13, pick-up is every Wednesday at MOBY Community Garden.
